Driftwood Theatre is celebrating 20 years of bringing outdoor theatre home to you. See Shakespeare "in the round" in the Museum's Heritage Pavilion.  Admission is "Pay What You Can" (sugg. $20/person).

"Collections Making Connections" Contest

Tell us about a memorable experience you had while viewing an artifact on display at the Museum.  Perhaps the artifact gave you a new perspective, or tugged at your heart strings?  Did the artifact spark a lively debate or provide an opportunity to connect to another person?  Or maybe the artifact caused you to pause and simply marvel at its beauty or the ingenuity that went into making it?

Contest open until September 1, 2014.

Grand prize: VIP invitation to our grand re-opening to celebrate the completion of our Renewal project; VIP behind-the-scenes tour for you and 12 guests; and an "Archival Starter Kit".

Summer Discovery 2014

Register now for the Museum's Summer Discovery day camps.  Now in its 27th year, Summer Discovery is as fresh and innovative as ever.  With seven weeks to choose from, new themes each week, led by our experienced and popular instructors, there is something for every child's taste.

Note that "Time Bandits" and "Artful Animals" now also have the option of registering by-the-day or by-the-week.

Register now for the Museum's Kinderkidz day camps.  Cheri Patrick's Kinderkidz programs have delighted children for years and have become a much-anticipated mainstay of the Museum's summer programming.  Cheri's innovative, child-centred learning within a gently structured environment is ideal for children 4 to 6 years of age (JK, SK, grade 1).

 Wildcard Wednesdays Day Camp

Wildcard Wednesdays

Register now for the new single-day, Wildcard Wednesday camps held every Wednesday in July and August.

There will be a different theme each week, with topics ranging from science to art to history! Activities may include arts and crafts, sports and active play, drama, leadership and more.  With half day and full day registration options, this camp is all about variety, flexibility and fun!

Museum Renewal - Until Fall, 2014

 

Museum Renewal - Phase 4

The Museum Renewal project is now in Phase 4.  All collections are secure in climate-controlled temporary storage to be returned once construction is complete.

Renovations to the Museum's lower level have now begun.

Site work on the new on-site Collections Storage facility has also resumed.
