In this exhibition, Explore this ancient civilization which lasted for thousands of years. 

Protected from foreign invasion by vast deserts and sustained by fertile soil along the river, the ancient Egyptians developed from a simple agricultural community into a sophisticated society.

Museum Renewal - Until Fall, 2014

Museum Renewal - Phase 4

The Museum Renewal project is nearing the end of Phase 4.  All collections will soon be returned from secure, climate-controlled temporary storage.

Site work on the new on-site Collections Storage facility and renovations to the main building lower level are nearly complete.

PA Day Camps


P.A. Day Camps at the Museum

Kids (ages 4-6 or ages 7-11) can now register for P.A. Day camps, to be held each elementary school P.A. Day.  Following the model of the successful Summer Discovery and Kinderkidz programs, kids will enjoy first-rate museum programming that's fun, creative and educational. ($15 per half day; $30 per full day).

Led by popular instructors, Cheri Patrick (ages 4-6) and Tyler Heffernan (ages 7-11).

Archives Re-opening Soon

Temporarily closed during construction as part of the Museum Renewal project, the Archives will re-open for appointments early in the new year.
