Museum & Archives Closed on Thursday, August 28, 2014

As part of the ongoing work for the Museum Renewal project, the Peterborough Museum & Archives will be CLOSED on Thursday, August 28, 2014 (all day).

There will be no public or staff access to the Museum building (including the exhibition galleries) on that day.

The Museum will reopen on Friday, August 29, 2014.

We are sorry for any inconvenience.

Another great season is about to begin.

Passes for the Fall 2014 series are on sale now. Passes for the 7:00pm screenings are now SOLD OUT.  Passes for the 4:00pm screenings are still available.  Individual RUSH tickets will be available for all titles and all screenings.

Tell us about a memorable experience you had while viewing an artifact on display at the Museum.  Perhaps the artifact gave you a new perspective, or tugged at your heart strings?  Did the artifact spark a lively debate or provide an opportunity to connect to another person?  Or maybe the artifact caused you to pause and simply marvel at its beauty or the ingenuity that went into making it?

Contest open until September 1, 2014.

Grand prize: VIP invitation to our grand re-opening to celebrate the completion of our Renewal project; VIP behind-the-scenes tour for you and 12 guests; and an "Archival Starter Kit".

Museum Renewal - Until Fall, 2014

 

Museum Renewal - Phase 4

The Museum Renewal project is now in Phase 4.  All collections are secure in climate-controlled temporary storage to be returned once construction is complete.

Renovations to the Museum's lower level are nearly complete.

Site work on the new on-site Collections Storage facility is well underway.

Please note that the Archives are now temporarily closed  and will remain closed during construction, as part of the Museum Renewal project.

All other programs, services and exhibitions will continue.
