Wildcard Wednesday Camp Registrations will open on

First introduced in 2014, "Wild Card Wednesdays" are back. These one day camps are for ages 7-11, and run every Wednesday from July 12 to August 16. There will be a different theme each week, with topics ranging from science to art to history! Activities may include arts and crafts, sports and active play, drama, leadership and more. With half day and full day registration options, this camp is all about variety, flexibility and fun!
Wednesdays: July 12, July 19, July 26, August 2, August 9 and August 16, 2017.
Morning camp: 9:00 AM - 12:00 (noon)
Afternoon camp: 1:00 - 4:00 PM ( 9-4 PM if you register for both sessions).
$17.50/half day; $35/full day
Weekly Themes (2016)
July 13 Pure Magic
Come and experience the world of illusions, tricks and wizardry in this enchanting day of fun! Learn the magic of showmanship and discover some magic you can do at home.
July 20 Ink It
Time to get messy with hands on arts and crafts using paint, ink and imagination. Bring an extra white cotton t-shirt or pillow case to get messy with tie dye, splatter painting, and fun with art!
July 27 Let's Get Cooking
Try your hand in the kitchen and learn about reading recipes, food groups and healthy eating habits. Nut-free snacks will be prepared on site with staff supervision. Please still bring a lunch and snacks for your child, and make known any food allergies or sensitivities to the museum upon registering.
August 3 Nature Rocks!
Love the world around you as we explore the great outdoors, learn outdoor skills and go green for life!
August 10 A Medieval Adventure
En Garde! The world of castles, crowns and dragons awaits. Travel back in time and experience medieval crafts, sport, and adventure.
August 17 Anchors Away
Dive in with your imagination at this camp of pirates, mermaids and lost treasures waiting to be discovered. It's the end of the summer and we're going to make a splash!
Personal Health Forms
Each child attending camp must complete and submit a Personal Health Form. This form will be kept on file at the Museum, and only needs to be completed once each year. The form can either be picked up at the Peterborough Museum & Archives or downloaded from our website.
Please submit health forms to the Museum prior to or on the first day of camp your child attends.
What to Bring
A morning and/or afternoon snack, water bottle, appropriate clothing and lunch ( if staying for the whole day). The Museum promotes a nut free environment, please ensure snacks and lunch are free of nuts.
Programs take place at the Peterborough Museum & Archives in our new Classroom, the beautiful Heritage Pavilion, the Museum’s galleries and the child-friendly Museum grounds. Bring a snack (and lunch for a full day) and dress for the weather.

Registration for 2017 will open on Saturday, April 1st.
Preregister for a half or whole day whatever best suits your schedule. You can register online, by telephone (705.743.5180) or in person at the Peterborough Museum & Archives (cash, cheque, VISA, MasterCard or American Express)
Refunds may be requested up to 5 business days prior to the start of the program. An administration fee of 10% of class fees will be withheld, with a minimum fee of $5.
In the course of all program activities, photos will be taken and audio and/or visual recordings may be made. The Peterborough Museum & Archives reserves the right to use all photographs and videos of all our programs, participants, special events and facilities for promotional purposes.
