Summer Discovery Camps

The Peterborough Museum & Archives offers day camp experiences throughout the year.  Our amazing instructors deliver award-winning programs for kids ages 4 to 11+.  Each program is unique, allowing each instructor's knowledge and passion shine through.

Summer Discovery Day Camps 2018 have sadly come to an end. Thank you to all for another wonderful summer at the Peterborough Museum & Archives.

P.A. Day Camps

The PMA now offers half-day or full-day camps during each of the local school boards' P.A. Days.  They're a great way for kids to reconnect with (or meet) new friends from the other camps, explore the museum throughout the year, and keep active during those days off school.  Each P.A. Day camp is custom-designed to meet the needs and interests of the registered children.  The camps take advantage of the museum galleries and exhibitions for inspiration.

Winter Discovery ( Over the January Holiday Break)

These single day camps follow the familiar 'Summer Discovery' format, are designed to build on the expertise and interest of the individual instructors and are a great way to introduce kids to the camp experience without having to commit to a whole week.

March Break Discovery

These single day camps also follow the 'Summer Discovery' format and take place during March Break.  Some kids (and parents) enjoy the flexibility of picking which days to attend, while others enjoy coming for the whole week.  Each day is led by a different instructor and condenses the week-long experience of Summer Discovery into one super-fun-filled day.  Watch for additional details by late January.

Summer Discovery

These award-winning camps have been a big hit here at the Peterborough Museum & Archives for nearly 30 years.  Kids love them.  Parents appreciate them.  With half-day, full-day and week-long registration options, it's hard to find a more flexible group of camps in Peterborough.  Our instructors consist of carefully-selected educators and are assisted by an amazing team of youth leaders.  Camps take advantage of the Museum's galleries, classrooms, pavilion, new playground and ample, safe green space.

Check back in early spring to see additional details and to register.
