T J Cavanagh

Thomas J. Cavanagh was born in Ennismore and worked for some years at the Beatty Washer Company before teaming with McBride and Franks Furniture to sell Frigidaire refrigerators. He opened his own storefront in August 1938 and expanded his merchandise to include Findlay stoves, Connor appliances and Philco and Stromberg-Carlson radios. With over 70 years of continuous service, Cavanagh’s owns the Canadian record for longevity in sales of Frigidaire appliances.
