Indus Valley: Mysteries of a Lost Civilization
The Peterborough Museum & Archives is pleased the announce a new school program titled "Indus Valley: Mysteries of a Lost Civilization," to complement our current exhibit "Ornamenting the Ordinary: Crafts of South Asia."
Come discovery the secrets of the Indus Valley, one of the earliest and largest civilizations in the Ancient World. Within this program students will use maps to understand the physical features of this early society, as well as learn how these people lived by exploring hands on learning centers. What kind of house did Indus people live in? How did they trade? What did they do for work? This program is designed to meet the Ontario Curriculum Guidelines for Grade 4 Social Studies: Early Societies 3000 BCE- 1500 CE.
Booking Dates: January 25 to March 25
Cost: $4/student, subsidy funds available for qualifying schools ( please request at time of booking)
Time: 2 hours, morning or afternoon
